Project Need: The gap in knowledge of healthcare professionals includes recognizing and addressing systemic biases contributing to healthcare disparities affecting African American women. Current training lacks scenario-based approaches developing critical decision-making skills for equitable care delivery. This video is the introductory video in a series of instructional videos (20-30 minutes in length). This video highlights historical context, past vs. current medical data, common medical scenarios, and patient testimonials. Knowledge checks are included.
Captivate Walkthrough
Target Audience: Peers and Instructor of a Digital Media Course
Research Methodologies: How to effectively use Captivate to engage learners; History of Osceola County; sound effects; using Screenflow for reviews.
Project Need: Using Captivate as the delivery tool with the support of other mediums such as audio, video and pictures, an immersive 360 ° module was to be created as a replacement for fixed placards throughout the museum. The Captivate module was meant to increase engagement, offer variety in learning mediums of the museum and create excitement around learning the history of Osceola County.
LMS Selection & Review
Target Audience: Instructional Designers
Research Methodologies: American Red Cross (ARC) trainings, formats and content; Top 5 healthcare LMS; Safety Culture features; content map; desktop vs. mobile use of an LMS.
Project Need: ARC needed to use an LMS to deliver their Adult First Aid/CPR/AED trainings. This review shows the selection of the 'Safety Culture' LMS while highlighting some of its standout features and how it will help ARC achieve it goals of successful delivery.
